after i slumbered at coach's house, we went to eastern market saturday morning.

tonight i went to the nationals game with mom, dad and coach.  it was awesome!  we sat in a suite with our friends from eastern michigan university.  i even got to give screech a high five!  now i am having a slumber party at coach's new house on capitol hill so we can go to eastern market for breakfast early in the morning.

charlie & coach rock the vote in dupont circle!

last night, i rode the bus to dupont circle with my mom and coach to see the "rock the vote" bus. the best part was the dj!

when coach and i go to dupont, we always go to krispy kreme. i got a football donut! coach got no donut.

(read: here's our deal - i say coach got no donut, he keeps taking me to get donuts. works for me!)

happy birthday to coach & stephen!

last night, we had a birthday party for coach and stephen! i called them to say happy birthday, but i thought we were supposed to have a party when it is someone's birthday. so even though they we weren't together, we had a celebration in washington in their honor.

three more days until coach comes. i can not wait!

neighborhood picnic!

our weekend started off very rainy. when i got up saturday morning, this is what i found on my front porch...it's my friend shelby, playing in the rain!

it looked so fun, i decided to go out in the rain too! i put on my frog wellies, and my yellow raincoat.

sunday the sun came out! we had our neighborhood picnic. all of my friends were there, including my friends from the palisades fire department. they even let me drive the fire truck!

my dad helped me climb up to drive the latter truck.

after the picnic, i was super tired. my mom had to carry me home on her back.

charlie's headache

it's the last days of summer here in washington, and this little boy has one thing on his mind: school.

charlie has announced that he too will soon be going to school, and will be riding the D6 bus to get there. (for those not familiar with dc public transportation, that's the public bus system that charlie has been known to frequent with certain grandparents from michigan). in fact, charlie will be going to school next fall.

for now, he's a happy kid, remembering a great summer (see photo, right) and back to spending his days with his fabulous ami.
